Job Description:
Administrative/ Customer Service Officer

Casual:
Salary Range $21.60 - $25 ph (+ Super):
Approx 12 hours per week over 3 -4 days each week.

Australian Home Away is a family owned and operated business. It primarily provides an accommodation agency for a range of fully furnished properties in the city and suburbs.

This position requires a well rounded and balanced input to all aspects of the business. It will provide administrative support and customer service for the business from the office in Wonga Park. There may also be a requirement to visit the units on an occasional basis. The position will work closely with both the owner and the manager of the business.

The position is initially casual, and the hours can be negotiated. It is anticipated they will be in the range of 9 to 15 hours per week. It is possible to arrange leave during school holidays if desired.

Duties

  1. Review and respond to emails and telephone enquiries on a regular basis.
  2. Manage the invoicing, collection, payment and recording of money on a daily basis using MYOB.
  3. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date computer based accommodation booking system, using Word and Excel, on a regular basis.
  4. Prepare documentation and supporting materials for client arrivals and departures.
  5. Maintain regular contact with clients.
  6. Organize a monthly schedule of cleans.
  7. Organise maintenance as required.
  8. Undertake relevant research as directed to improve and expand the business.
  9. Support updating and improvements to the web resources.
  10. Maintain backups of company files.
  11. Support the development of new business opportunities as part of a small team.

Essential Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years administrative/ customer service experience.
  2. A current driver’s license and ability to travel on an occasional basis to the units.
  3. A current Police Check.
  4. Experience using MYOB, Windows and Excel packages.
  5. Ability to work in a small team as well as working independently.

This position will have a review period after 4 weeks from appointment. Payment will be made on a fortnightly basis.
